After the powerbuilding spin session I did in the morning yesterday, I was well and truly exhausted when I got home. I woke up this morning recalling how much I like to push my limits outdoors, and with a firm resolve to make the Seventh loop a regular go-to!
Recipe: 2 Parts Aussie. 1 Part Canadian. Add a healthy dose of travel, a dash of humour, as much outdoor as you can handle and light sprinkling of trouble. Serve hot.

When the hurt feels good
I have not felt as wiped out as I did last night after getting home from a night ride to the top of Fromme on the North Shore. Roughly a 13km loop with a 650m climb straight up switchbacks at the start, we rode up to Seventh Secret, Leopard, Crinkum Crankum, then back up for a quick whip of Bobsled before heading home.

The winter that wasnt
Just arriving at work this morning with my jacket off and a light sweat up... and its still early Feb. Depressing or what? This is almost an Australian winter!
So last week all my dreams of local snow were crushed well and truly with a massive Pineapple Express rolling through coastal BC. It produced some record snowfalls up further in places like Terrace BC, but down here in Vancouver where the temperature was around 15 degrees, it was hard and heavy rain. The local hills were wiped clean of snow, taking it back to grass and dirt.

Even Whistler was washed out, with a swimming pool forming under one of the highest chairlifts:

| Wakeboarding anyone? |
So with my cousin arriving this weekend with her snowboard this weekend, I might have to get her out on a bike instead!
